Here at Bloom, we pride ourselves on our selection of flowers and plants: they are the lifeblood and creative soul of everything we do. Colours, shapes, smells, textures, all complementing and blending with each other to create ever more creative and unique displays, and by using an eclectic range of blooms and floral sources we always aim to keep things fresh and tasteful. Once the blooms are delivered, though, it's important to bide by a few simple rules to keep the bouquets looking as good for as long as possible:

• Make sure the vase you use is clean
• Always use fresh lukewarm water with commercial food added
• Strip any leaves from stems that will be below the water level
• Cut at least 3cm off all the stems, making a slanted cut with a sharp knife
• Avoid placing your flowers in direct sunlight or any draughts
• Keep flowers away from fruit
• Remove any faded flowers as they occur
• Keep a check on the water level and top up regularly
